About Dr. Ajith Kamath
Dr. Ajith Kamath is a distinguished life sciences leader with over 25 years of experience in preclinical drug discovery and strategic R&D partnerships. He spent the majority of his career at Pfizer Worldwide R&D in the USA, before returning to India in 2007 as the India Head of Pfizer's Strategic Research Partnership, leading External R&D Innovation.
In this role, he forged deep connections with India's pharma and biotech ecosystem, successfully initiating collaborations with Indian pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions. His teams contributed to two drugs — one now in the market and another in clinical trials. He has subsequently held leadership positions at Jubilant Biosys and Mitra Biotech.
Dr. Kamath is also an active angel investor and advisor to deep science startups, including Pandorum Technologies and Ahammune Biosciences. He has over 35 publications to his name and has presented at 100+ national and international conferences.
